"besides the seaside "

With all the hot weather we have been having , dull today after some rain though , it would be lovely to take a dip in the sea !
When I saw the cute flip flop die from taylored expression , I just had to buy it , then all the ideas for beachy/summer cards came to mind . I searched through my stamp collection and could not find any nautical /beach stamps....I'm sure I've got some somewhere ....so I headed to Pink petticoat and found the perfect digis .
I cut the flip flops from funky foam and coloured the beach huts with promarkers.

Fun in the sun

Wow , this weather , can't believe this is the UK, I'm loving it apart from hot bedroom , hot craft room and hot whilst at work  cleaning. I can't craft after mid day because my craft room is like an oven .

My card today is inspired by the lovely sunny weather we are having , it's rather cas in style , very unlike me , but I must say I'm very pleased with the results .
All the elements apart from the sun , which is part of a Hero Arts clear stamp set called "bee happy " , are cutting files from Silhouette America. The card base and card is all textured bazil card stock the only other added detail is the balloon string which is bakers twine .

Challenges entered :

"game On "die namics masculine graphic tee shirt

Well lots of sun then lots of rain , it's over cast here but still very warm after a big thunder storm last night.
We've had a lovely 2 weeks with Bob off from work , in the garden and days out, it has had an effect on my crafting time and blogging though ! another down side of the weather has been the insects ....oh how they love to bite me ...I have 12 very red sore and itchy bites.
This morning we went to an art exhibition of wild life pictures , they were wonderful , I could have brought them all home to hang on the walls , alas we bought none as the average price was £500-£2,000, I the lottery numbers come up we'll go back tomorrow with the readies.
I did make some craft purchases on line though , the fab  die namics masculine graphic tee shirt stamps and matching die , featured in my post today . Just right for those hard male/teen boys cards.
The papers are Kaisercraft  "party animals" double sided 12x12 papers. The happy birthday die is part of a sentiment set by tattered lace. The star dies are by sizzix.

Die Namics shirt and tie Summer Fun

Not blogged in a while , I've not felt too good , tummy trouble , my IBS is having a flare up , seeing the doctor on Wednesday , 10 days wait for an appointment !

Well after a few days of rain the sun is out so I thought I'd show you my "summery card ".
I recently bought the shirt and tie die from die namics. I'ts great for male cards obviously but after seeing this fab card here  I realized it great for cool teen /young people cards.
The paper used for the striped shirt front is from a paper pad free with cardmaking and papercrafts mag and is called "beach babe ". The embellishments are a bargain find at hobby craft , lots of their embellishment stickers are reduced to £1. The only other die cut needed is the circle die (mines also from die namics ).

challenges entered :

creative card crew : masculine
crafty catz : stars or stripes or both
chocolate ,coffee and cards : summer days

In the garden

Afternoon crafting friends , hope your well . The weather has been nice here , it was my birthday on Saturday, Summer Solstice  , it was good because the weather was warm and the sky clear allowing a really (longest day ) . We had a lovely meal at my Mums with my hubby , who is soon to be 50 , giving me then my Mum piggyback ride around the garden , all after a few G&T's ...lol...

My card today is Summery and floral with pretty pastels. The card was bought as a polka dot card (a pack of 8 in 4 colours ) from hobby craft. I've made my own embellishments using a wide variety of dies and punches . The papers used are first edition , spring drop. The adhesive button are from Hobby craft. I added some faux stitching with a fine brown marker and stamped a sentiment from a secret garden clear stamp set.
